Arrow, a Singapore-based provider of eCommerce checkout solutions, has raised a US$4.8 million seed round led by Sequoia Capital India and supported by Alpha JWC and Guillaume Pousaz’s Zinal Growth.
The funds will be used to accelerate Arrow’s mission to make it easier for consumers across Southeast Asia to buy online and to help merchants navigate the payments and sales channel landscape.
Founded in 2021 by Liat Beng Neo and Sebastian Roervig, Arrow offers solutions that serve as a layer on top of payment gateways that can be easily integrated to provide a hassle-free checkout experience for customers. By reducing online shopping cart abandonment for merchants, the startup helps them boost revenue.
Arrow provides its solutions for cards and alternate payment methods such as e-wallets, bank transfers, and buy now, pay later (BNPL). To date, it has been adopted by over 100 merchants across industries including fashion, beauty, wellness, and home and living. Some merchants using Arrow are already seeing an over 20% increase in conversion rates, the startup said.
Other investors in the round include:
Ooi Huey Tyng, current board member at AIG and Maxis
Steve Vickers, chief operating officer at Pay send
Hassan Ahmed, head of Southeast Asia at Coinbase.
